Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, reputed to be Yves Saint Laurent, August 1, 1936 – June 1, 2008), was a French design originator, and is viewed as one of the most fabulous names in style history.

Yves Henri Donat Matthieu-Saint Laurent was conceived on August 1, 1936, in Oran, Algeria, to Charles and Lucienne Andrée Mathieu-Saint-Laurent. He acted like an adult in a villa by the Mediterranean with his two more youthful sisters, Michèle and Brigitte.
